One of my favorite designers (who is a very popular blogger) makes the BEST basics. I know a lot of brands focus on making great basic pieces that you can create a perfect wardrobe around but no one does it better than Anine Bing. She manages to create the pieces in your closet that you didn’t even know were missing, but you now need.
Since Anine Bing is designer, her pieces are definitely an investment, but like I said – totally worth it. The T-shirt I’m wearing here retailed for over $100 (don’t worry – I got it on sale) but I can honestly say that I would have easily payed full price for it just the same because of the quality and impeccable attention to design/detail.
The rest of my outfit (with the exception of my sunglasses) balances out the designer piece well – my skirt is J Brand from SaksOff5th and my jacket has been in my closet forever (from Gap) that I recently cut up and love again.
My overall inspiration for this look was from Pinterest! If you haven’t followed my boards yet, go check them out – I try to keep everything as fresh and updated as possible for new trends during the season. Pinterest is THE best for when you’re trying to complete an outfit or figuring out how to try out a new trend.
Hope you love this look as much as I do!
